Eastern Illinois 11, Crest Hill 7
In a nine inning game Eastern Illinois 11 Crest Hill 7. With the scored tied at 7 in the bottom of the ninth inning with the bases loaded & 2 outs Crest Hill lost the game on a grand slam. For Crest Hill Tony Walthers had three hits, Matt Serdar, Demintroic Delgado, & Joe Locasto each had two hits & Lorenzo Blazekovich doubled. Crest Hill finished tournament play with 11 wins & 4 loses.
Saturday, July 24th: Kankakee 14 Pony Regional
Crest Hill 10, Kankakee 4
Crest Hill advaced to the Championship game with a 10 to 4 win over Kankakee. Lorenzo Blazekovich was the winning pitcher picking up his 2nd win of the tournament. Crest Hill scored nine runs in the second inning. Matt Serdar had three hits, Matt Magolan singled & doubled. In the Championship game Crest Hill & Eastern Illinois were tied after 8 innings 7 to 7. The game was suspended last night at 11:30pm due to lighting & will be resumed sunday at 12:30pm. Crest Hill must win this game & beat Eastern Illinois in another game to advace to the zone in Bay City Michigan.
Friday, July 23rd: Kankakee 14 Pony Regional
Eastern Illinois 14, Crest Hill 7
Crest Hill could not hold leads of 5 to 0 & 7 to 4. In the 4th inning Eastern Illinois scored 10 runs on 5 walks, 5 errors & one infield hit. Keenan Conklin finally closed the door & did not give up a hit in the last three innings. Joe Locasto singled twice & homered, Tony Walthers, Lorenzo Blazekovich, & Conklin each had two hits. Crest Hill had 14 hits & Eastern Illinois had 5. Crest Hill plays Kankakee at 5:30pm saturday. The winner takes on Eastern Illinois at 8:00pm
Thursday, July 22nd: Kankakee 14U Pony Region Tournament
Crest Hill 9, Kankakee 7 in a 8 inning game
Crest Hill trailed 5 to 4 in the 7th with two on & two outs when Joe Locasto singled up the middle to score the tying run at 5. Demintroic Delgado followed with a two run single to put Crest Hill up 7 to 5. In the bottom of the 7th Kanakee got a two run home run to tie the game & force extra innings. In the top of the 8th J.J. Hayes walked got to second on a fielders choice. Lorenzo Blazekovich singled to score Hayes, Keenan Conklin followed with a single & Gil Valencia followed with a perfect sucide squeeze bunt with two strikes on him on a high inside pitch scoring Blazekovich. Blazekovich came in to pitch in the second inning with Crest Hill down 3 to 1. Blazekovich struck out 14. Keenan Conklin had 4 hits & Matt Magolan had a big double to start the 7th inning with Crest Hill trailing 5 to 3. Crest Hill plays Eastern Illinois at 8:00pm friday night.
Saturday, July 17th: Crest Hill Pony Sectional Tournament
Crest Hill 7, Beecher 5
Crest Hill came back from being down 5 to 0 in the 6th inning scoring three runs & 4 more in the 7th to advance to the Kankakee Region. With the score tied at 5, A.J. Branchaw hit a single with the bases loaded scoring two runs. Matt Serdar, Troy Carlson, Keenan Conklin, & Lornezo Blazekovich pitched for Crest Hill. Tony Walthers had a single & double, Keenan Conklin & Branchaw each had two hits. Crest Hill plays Kankakee this thursday night at 8:00pm.
Sunday, July 11th: Whiteford 14-year-old Pony All-Star Tournament
Crest Hill 9, Bolingbrook 0
In a semi-final game, Crest Hill 9 Bolingbrook 0. Troy Carlson threw the 3 hit shutout striking out 8. Keenan Conklin had three hits, & Matt Serdar singled & doubled.
Saturday, July 10th: Whiteford 14-year-old Pony All-Star Tournament
Crest Hill I moved into the tournament finals scheduled for sunday with a 3 & 0 record in pool play. Crest Hill 7 St. Joes 6. Lorenzo Blazekovich was the winning pitcher coming in relief in the second inning striking out 10. Matt Serdar singled & doubled, & Joe Locasto doubled. Fo St. Joes Nate Thomas singled & tripled. Crest Hill 2 Whiteford 1. Matt Serdar was the winning pitcher striking out 11. Serdar singled twice & drove in the winning run with the score tied at 1 in the 7th inning. Chad Benevidez was the losing pitcher in a tough lost striking out 9. Crest Hill I 11 Crest Hill II 0. Keenan Conklin was the winning pitcher throwing a three hit shutout. Lorenzo Blazekovich & Conklin had two hits each, Demintra Delgado singled & tripled, Joe Locasto & A.J. Branchaw each tripled. For Crest Hill II Andrew Garcia had two hits.

St. Joes 14, Crest Hill 13
St. Joe's scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with one out to tie the game at 10. Crest Hill scored three in the top of the 9th inning & St, Joes came back with 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. For St. Joes Kevin Matuszewski, Jason Burkart, had two hits, Dan Timlin & Jason Pesavento each doubled. For Crest Hill Andrew Garcia singled & doubled twice, & Demictroic Delgado doubled. In the Championship game Crest Hill 9 St. Joes 1. Grant LaRussa was the winning pitcher throwing a three hitter & giving up one unearned run, Demictroic Delgado & Tyler Delrose each doubled & LaRussa had two hits. For St, Joes Jason Burkart tripled.

Tyler Monnet was the winning pitcher. A.J. Branchaw singled, doubled, & tripled, Demictroic Delgado singled, & doubled, Andrew Garcia had two hits & Stephan Delrio doubled. For Minooka Mike Knack singled & tripled. Crest Hill plays either St. Joes or Troy today at 1:15pm for the tournament championship.

Matt Serdar & Lorenzo Balzekovich combined to pitch for the win. Keenan Conklin had two hits. For Channahon Steve Szymanski singled twice & doubled, Nate Kijowski & Anthony Airola each had two hits, & Kyle Williamson doubled.

Demictroic Delgado was the winning pitcher throwing a one hitter with 8 strikeouts & no walks. A.J. Branchaw had two singles & a double. Andrew Garcia doubled & tripled, & Ben Esquivel doubled. Fo St. Joes Dan Timlin homered.

Lorenzo Blazekovich was the winning pitcher coming in relief in the second inning striking out 7 & giving up 3 hits. Matt Serdar singled & doubled. For Troy Adam Lancaster doubled.
