Sunday, July 31st: 14U PONY Zone Tournament (North) Semi-Finals
McCutchon, Indiana 7, Crest Hill 2
Crest Hill had a 2 to 1 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd inning & McCutchon scored 6 runs on 6 hits & one Crest Hill error.Pitcher Nick Vella held McCutchon scoreless the rest of the way but Crest Hill was held scoreless the rest of the game also. Matt Taller & Tommy Halinski had doubles, Mike Bautista & A.J. Branchaw had singles. Crest Hill finished 2nd place in the State of Illinois & 16th in the Nation & 28th in the World.
Saturday, July 30th: 14U PONY Zone Tournament (North)
Bay Bounty, Michigan 10, Crest Hill 0
Crest Hill finished Tournament Pool play with 1 win & two loses & was in a three way tie with Central Michigan & Murphysboro Il. Fewest runs allowed in pool play is the 1st tie breaker & Crest Hill advanced to todays finals. Crest Hill plays McCutcheon, Indiana at Noon today. With a win they will play the winner of Bay County , Michigan vs. Bloomington, Illinois game at 5:00pm. One more loss & the season will end for Crest Hill, With two wins Crest Hill will move on to Washington, Pennsylvania for the Pony World Series. Tommy Halinski had a double, Matt Taller & David Schrage had singles.
Friday, July 29th: 14U PONY Zone Tournament (North)
Central Michigan 1, Crest Hill 0
Matt Taller was the losing pitcher giving up five singles, striking out 8 & walking 2. Central Michigan scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the 1st inning on two of their 5 hits. Crest Hill had bases loaded in the 7th inning with no outs & was unable to score. A.J. Branchaw had two hits, Mike Bautista & Tommy Halinski had singles. Crest Hill with 1 win & 1 loss plays Bay County, Michigan at 8:30pm Saturday night.
Thursday, July 28th: 14U PONY Zone Tournament (North)
Crest Hill 17 Murphysboro 3
Matt Taller & Nick Vella cobined to pitch for the win. Demintroic Delgado had two singles, & a double, Tommy Halinski & A.J. Branchaw each had three hits, Nick Vella had two hits & Ben Esquivel tripled. Winning 5 to 3 in the 4th inning Crest Hill scored 6 runs to break the game open & another 6 runs in the 5th inning. Crest Hill meets Central Michigan on Friday at 2:30pm which lost last night to the host Bay County 11 to 1.
Saturday, July 23rd: Oak Park 14 U Pony Region
Crest Hill 2, Oak Park 1
Matt Taller was the winning pitcher allowing 4 singles & 1 double striking out 10. With Crest Hill trailing 1 to 0 in the top of the 6th inning Tommy Halinski beat out a infield single, Andre Garcia followed with a Home Run to center field to put Crest Hill ahead 2 to 1. In the bottom of the 6th Oak Park had a double with one out. The runner at 2nd tried to steal third & was thrown out by catcher Nick Vella & Taller struck out the batter to end the inning. In the 7th inning with one out Tommy Halinski ran into the fence & caught a fly ball that was going over the fence for a Home Run to tie the game, for the 2nd out of the inning. Taller struck out the last batter for the final out & a Trip to the Bay City , Michigan Zone Tournament were the winner advances to the Pony World Series in Washington Penn. Crest Hill starts Zone play Thursday afternoon at 2:30, with a game Friday at 2:30pm & Saturday at 8:30pm. The Zone is pool play with the top 4 teams advancing to the finals on Sunday.
Thursday, July 21st: Oak Park 14 U Pony Region

Matt Taller was the winning pitcher & David Schrage got the save pitching the last 2.2/3 innings. Andrew Garcia & Nick Vella both had two run homers. Tommy Halinski had two hits. Crest Hill the only undefeated team left in the tournament plays the winner of todays Bradley vs. Oak Park game on saturday at 11:00am. A Crest Hill win would send them to Bay City, Michiagan for the Zone Tournament. A Crest Hill loss would force another game at 2:00pm.
Wedensday, July 20th: Oak Park 14 U Pony Region

Crest Hill stayed hot with the bats scoring 8 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Andrew Garcia singled, doubled, & hit a three run homer in the top of the 1st inning. Nick Vella had three hits, Tommy Halinski singled & doubled, & A.J. Branchaw had two hits. Winning Pitcher Matt Taller struck out 7 & allowed one hit in three innings. Nick Vella pitched three innings, & David Schrage pitched the 7th inning striking out 2. Crest Hill turned two outstanding defensive plays. Nick Vella made a bare one handed play on a ball hit up the middle turning a double play. Demintroic Delgado made a diving play at 1st base preventing a extra base hit. Crest Hill plays Oak Park tonight at 5:30pm in Oak Park.
Saturday, July 16th: Crest Hill Pony Section 14U Tournament
Crest Hill 13, Manteno 3
Matt Taller was the winning pitcher, striking out 9 & allowing 4 hits. Andrew Garcia singled & had a three run homer, David Schrage, Mike Bautista, & Taller each had two hits. The win gave Crest Hill the section Championship & advances to the Oak Park Region. Crest Hill plays Oak Park Wednesday night at 5:30pm.
Friday, July 15th: Crest Hill Pony Section 14U Tournament
Crest Hill 23, Limestone 0
Nick Vella was the winning pitcher striking out 8 & giving 2 hits in 4 innings. David Schrage pitched the 5th inning. Tommy Halinski had two singles, a double, & home run, Nick Vella singled, doubled & hit a grand slam, Demintroic Delgado hit a grand slam, & Anthony Leutik homered. Matt Taller singled & doubled, & Johnny Hall had two hits. Limestone plays Manteno tonight at 5:00pm with the winner playing Crest Hill the lone undefeated team in the tournament at 7:30pm. Crest Hill will move on to the Oak Park region with a win, a lose with force a game on sunday at 5:30pm.

Matt Taller was the winning pitcher Taller threw five shutout innings giving up one single & striking out ten. Manteno scored their two runs in the 6th. Andrew Garcia had two doubles, A.J.Branchaw singled & doubled, & David Schrage doubled. Crest Hill plays Limestone at 8:00 pm Friday night. Limestone defeated Coal City 14 to 2.
Sunday, July 10th: Whiteford 14U Pony All-Star Tournament Consolation
Crest Hill I 15, Crest Hill II 3
In the third place game, Crest Hill I defeated Crest Hill II 15 to 3. Ben Esquivel was the winning pitcher, A.J. Branchaw had two singles & two triples, Demictroic Delgado had a single & triple, Matt Taller had a double & two triples, Nick Vella & Deiondre Taylor each had two hits. For Crest Hill II Anthony Leutik singled twice & had a double, Tommy Halinski doubled & tripled, Mitch Kripple doubled, & Mike Bautista tripled, & Andrew Garcia had two hits. Crest Hill begins Sectional play this wednesday at 8:00pm against Manteno. Coal City plays Limestone on tuesday night at 8:00pm.

Quinn Caldwell was the winning pitcher. Matt Alexander had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 5th with the score tied at 5, he singled up the middle driving in Matt Houghton & Terry Hirsch. For Crest Hill A.J Branchaw, Demintroic Delgado, Nick Vella, & Andrew Garcai all doubled, & Matt Taller tripled.
Whiteford Shorewood Home & Auto 14, Crest Hill II 4
Zak Pirc was the winning pitcher, Josh Tesch, Matt Bunetta, & Nick Marconi each had two hits. For Crest Hill Johnny Hall doubled & Anthony singled & tripled.

Nick Vella & David Schrage each singled & doubled, A. J. Branchaw singled & tripled, Matt Taller & Mike Bautista each had two hits, & Jacob Elliott doubled. For Crest Hill II Brett Fulton had rwo singles & a tripled, Nolan Edwards, Anthony Leutik, & Tyler DelRose each had two hits. Both teams will play in the tournament finals on sunday. Crest Hill I plays at 9:00am & Crest Hill II at 11:3am. 3rd place game is at 2:30pm & Championship game is at 5:00pm.

Tyler DelRose was the winning pitcher. Mitch Kripple hit a bases loaded triple in the 5th inning with the score tied at 2. Kripple also singled.

A.J. Branchaw hit a grand slam & a two run homer with 6 R.B.I'S, Ben Esquivel had two hits, Anthony Leutik tripled. Mike Bautista threw the one hit shutout.
